Brief summary and personal reflection on the story

a few years ago, I read this book twice. Because than I was moved by his words in the book , I was really delighted by teachers choice the book. Tuesdays with Morrie is a true story about sportswriter Mitch Albom and his favorite college professor Morrie Schwartz. During Albom's undergraduate years at Brandeis University, when he takes every class taught by his mentor, he and Schwartz form a bond that goes beyond the typical student/teacher relationship. Around that time, a favorite uncle passes away from cancer at the age of forty-four. This frightens Albom into action. He returns to school and earns graduate degrees in journalism and business administration from Columbia University in New York. Albom accepts a job as a sports writer and begins working long, grueling hours, determined not to end up at a corporate job he hates like his uncle did. He bounces around the country working for different newspapers and magazines before finally settling at The Detroit Free Press, where his career really begins to take off.

As Albom's career grows, so do his income and his material possessions. The more he gets, the more he wants and the harder he works. During this time, he also gets married. His wife wants to start a family, and he promises her "someday." One evening while flipping channels on the television, Albom catches the introduction to Nightline and hears the name Morrie Schwartz. His long-forgotten favorite professor is the subject of a Ted Koppel interview. Albom watches in shock as he learns Schwartz is dying of ALS, or Lou Gehrig's disease.
Shortly after learning the diagnosis, Schwartz makes an important decision. He isn't going to hide behind his illness. He isn't going to be ashamed or afraid of dying. He's been a teacher all his life and decides he'll teach one final class, teaching his students how to die. That's where Schwartz's old student and friend Mitch Albom comes in. After seeing the Nightline interview, Albom visits Schwartz and makes another promise to keep in touch.
A few weeks later, Albom's newspaper goes on strike, and he is out of a job. Left with too much time on his hands and too many unsettling thoughts in his head, he returns to Massachusetts to see Schwartz. In fact, he returns to Massachusetts every Tuesday until the end of Schwartz's life.
After a couple of visits, Albom begins recording their talks, with Schwartz's permission and his encouragement. He wants to share this journey with the world and knows that Albom can help him reach beyond the walls to which his disease has confined him. For the next fourteen weeks, Schwartz and Albom discuss everything from regrets and death to money and marriage, from family to forgiveness.
Their conversations and the insights they give into the way Schwartz has lived his life and accepts his death become the foundation around which Tuesdays with Morrie is written. This book is emotionally rich book to me, and it is very sweet book of a man's love for his mentor. I'm just seventeen years old, but I can realize a little how to live my life. This story left me thinking about the meaning of life and the contribution that we all can make to one another, even on the brink of death.

Refpection
First, I thought this book was so boring. But after I read the book, I changed my mind. It is a story about a usual boy. This book was written by Sue Townsend. The book was first published in Hardcover by Methuen on October 7, 1982. Sequels include. It focuses on the worries and troubles of a teenager who believes himself to be an man. his book is written in a diary style and set It shows a course of adolescence which he spent. We are spending time like him, so it help us and can have sympathy. Although he sometimes does something special, it is possible. because of his situation. He is in adolescence. I sometimes smiled and was disgusted.
And, in this book various characters appear. Each characters make me laugh! From Pandora to a poor dog. a lot of the typical humour originates from the reader immediately seeing through particular observations, while the boy pertinently and naively misinterprets them. Also, this book was known long time ago. Radio and TV treated this book story. I was so surprised! I thought this book is not famous for people. Then, when I saw this book, It was a little different for me. And I thought value of this book. Surely adolescence is so hard and arduous. But Sue tell us so easily and comfortable. I think it is so helpful and nice.

global warming

Global warming is an extremely severe problem facing the world today. Its effects and causes have been on the rise and people need to do something about it before the problem gets any worse. There are numerous groups of people and articles which deal with the disastrous effects. As we go about our daily lives we seldom think how the way that we live affects the environment around us. It is important to understand and discuss the significance of global warming. Global warming has great effect on crops and weather conditions around the world. The northern hemisphere contains more land area than the southern hemisphere, and conversely, a lower percentage of the world's oceans. Since oceans absorb more heat than land areas, it is not surprising that most climate models predict faster heating over the northern hemisphere than the global average. So we have to realize that we have much more in common with the plants, animals, air and water than we have with the mechanical, chemical and electronic world we have created around us. We have to remember that if we don't try, nobody will be able to stop the world and get off.

Summary:
Nowadays, many people try to join growing movement for sustainable developement. It helps to balance the needs of people with me protection of nature. For instance buildings which used a power of sun, green garden, reusing movement and various green materials.
The buildings and surroundings are chaning healthier and greener.

Comments: Recently, the number of people joined movement for environment are increasing.
It is evidence that many people are about environment. I also wish to protect of environment our place, country, world! Because enviroment is what we use together and after descendants use for their good. So, I support activities to green building.

School uniform

In our school, there wasn't restriction about school uniform.
we have seen seniors are wearing clothes which they want to wear freely.
But now we can't get right like seniors. I disagree about opinion of school.
first of all, our school uniform makes our feel an inconvenience.
we live all days in school. so, we need more concern for good school life.
I think this is a duty of school.
second, school uniform obstruct our have right individuality.
now, people think individuality for the best important thing. we can't neglect.
third, we can think a hygiene of uniform.
we have to wear a uniform day to day. we can't frequently do wash a uniform.
It makes troubles like a bad smell.
From these reasons above, I disagree on wearing school uniform.
